In a new public service announcement, WEAC President Betsy Kippers says that when it comes to bullying, one caring adult can make all the difference. “Bullying impacts nearly one-third of all students every year, but it takes just one caring adult to intervene and help stop the bullying.” she said. “Victims need an adult that will listen, or stand up for them and most importantly show them they are not alone. Bullying and cyberbullying have far-reaching effects, from a decline in academic performance to physical illness, depression or worse.

“Help us create a safe, bully-free learning environment for all students in Wisconsin. One caring adult can make all the difference. Take the pledge to be that adult at nea.org/bullyfree.”
